Background
Students may be enrolled in class periods using the Group Schedule function, to allow matching of multiple students at one time for classes, or individually using the Student Schedule function.
Video Overview
Enrolling students in classes by group
- Login to TwineSIS at https://sis.choosetwine.com/ using your Twine administrator username and password.
- From the side menu, select Scheduling > Group Schedule.
- You will be presented with the Group Schedule dashboard, where you can search for the students who you wish to enroll in classes. Enter search criteria (if any) and click Submit.
- leave blank - returns a list of all students
- Grade Level - returns a list of all students in a particular grade or grades
- Choose (Course) - returns a list of students currently in the selected course
- Choose (Request) - returns a list of all students with a matching request
- Choose (Last Year Course) - returns a list of students who were enrolled in the selected course during the last year
- From the results list, click the check box for each student you want to add to the course. You can use the check box at the top of the list to select all students in the list at once.
- Click the Choose a Course link to select a class to assign to the selected students.
- A new browser window opens. Select the Subject (1), then Course (2), and then the Class Period (3) to select the course.
Alternatively, you can use the Search link to locate the class period. - To add additional classes at the same time, click Choose a Course again and repeat the course selection process.
- Use the drop-down menus to select the Start Date and the Marking Period for the course or courses.
- Verify you have created the desired combination of:
- Course or courses (1)
- Start Date and Marking Period (2)
- Students to assign the course to (3)
- TwineSIS displays a confirmation of your scheduling action.
Enrolling students in classes individually
- From the main menu, select Scheduling > Student Schedule.
- You will be presented with the Find student search window. Enter search criteria (if any) and click Submit.
- leave blank - returns a list of all students
- Grade Level - returns a list of all students in a particular grade or grades
- Choose (Course) -returns a list of students currently in the selected course
- Choose (Request) - returns a list of all students with a matching request
- Select the student you wish to enroll from the results list.
- The student's schedule is displayed for the current date by default. To view the student's schedule as it existed at a previous date, or is projected for a future date, use the drop-down menu to select the desired date.
- Click the Add a Course link at the bottom of the student's current schedule.
- A new browser window opens. Select the desired Enrollment date before choosing a course.
- Select the Subject (1), then Course (2), and then the Class Period (3) to assign to the selected student.
Note: Once you click on the course, it is automatically assigned with the enrollment date you selected in the previous step. - The newly assigned course is displayed in the student's schedule.
Correcting Enrollments
From the Student Schedule, you can correct the enrollment date by clicking on the date, selecting a new date from the drop-down menu, and clicking Save.
You can also remove a course assigned in error by entering a Dropped date that is earlier than the Enrollment date for the course and clicking Save.
