Static pages or panels in your school website are controlled by documents within Edsby. The Websby application provides access to those documents, allowing you to easily update content for those pages.

Updating Static Content
Instructions:
- Login to Edsby as a school administrator with Web Manager privileges
- On the left side of the home page, click on the Websby application:
- In the Websby dashboard, navigate to the section of the site with the content you want to update. For this example, we're updating content in the /Academics/ directory, requiring us to go to the Sub Web Pages list and click on the Academics link:
- From the Documents menu, click the document you want to edit. In this example, we'll click on General Education:
- An Edit Page panel will appear. This is where you can edit the page title and contents. Note that the page name should not be changed without also updating the corresponding page layout.
- Once you are done editing, click the Save button in the lower right corner:
- Go to your school's website and refresh to see the changes you have made.
Formatting tips and suggestions in editing the contents
To keep your website content consistent and professional-looking, we recommend the following procedures:
- Titles and Subtitles: In cases where you wish to create a header to emphasize a title or a section, select heading types by clicking on the Formats button and using the available Headings. Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3 are defined in your site configuration to match the custom format, colors, and style of your website.
- Body Text: As a rule, you'll want to designate document body text as Paragraph, under the Formats > Blocks menu. Using these predefined formats allows you to have a consistent layout throughout the entire website.
- Other tools for formatting are available on the toolbar, including widgets for numbered and bulleted lists, and insertion of images. While these tools allow quite a bit of flexibility for the layout and formatting of your page, changes to text sizes & colors should be used sparingly if at all.
