Edsby Sync Date
The final phase for transition is to stop synchronizing data from the old school year and begin synchronizing data for the coming year.
For most schools this happens during the first week of July. If you run summer programs and need this date to happen later in the summer, the sync date can be moved as needed. It is important that synchronization of your new classes & students does not begin until after all active classes have ended.
If this applies to you, please let us know via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or respond to the email communication we send out when about preparing for the upcoming school year.
Please note, once you start syncing your upcoming school year data to Edsby we can not switch back to sync your previous school year.
Frequently asked questions:
Q: Why am I not seeing our student names for the new year in Edsby?
A: Students will not show up in Edsby until their school enrollment date. Until that date, students will show in the Twine SIS as "inactive" and will not be synchronized to Edsby. The school enrollment date is displayed on the Information page for each student.
Q: Why do I not see students in class rosters in Edsby for our new year, even though students are assigned to classes in Twine?
A: Just as students have a school enrollment date, there is also a class enrollment date. A student can be enrolled in your school on July 9th but not enrolled in classes until September 1st. Until the class enrollment date, student names will not be shown in Edsby classes. Class enrollment dates may be seen in Twine under Scheduling > Student Schedule.
