Background
The final phase for transition is to stop data synchronization from the old school year to Edsby and begin data synchronization for the coming year. For most schools, this happens in the first week of July.
If you run summer programs your sync cutover date may need to be adjusted. If this applies to you, please let us know via email to support@choosetwine.com, or respond to the email communication we send out about preparing for the upcoming school year.
Important notes about your sync cutover date:
- Synchronization of your new classes and students should not begin until after all active classes have ended.
- Once you start syncing your upcoming school year data to Edsby we can not switch back to sync your previous school year.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Bellow, we've put together some answers to commonly asked questions about sync cutover.
Why am I not seeing our student names for the new year in Edsby?
Students do not show up in Edsby until their school enrollment date. Until that date, students are shown in the Twine SIS as "inactive" and are not synchronized to Edsby. The school enrollment date is displayed on the Information page for each student.
Why do I not see students in class rosters in Edsby for our new year, even though students are assigned to classes in Twine?
Student names are not shown in Edsby classes before the class enrollment date. The class enrollment data is separate from the school enrollment date. For example, a student can be enrolled in your school on July 9th but not enrolled in classes until September 1st. You can view class enrollments in Twine under Scheduling > Student Schedule.
What do I do if the school enrollment dates and/or class enrollment dates need to be changed?
You can change enrollment dates and class registration dates individually on the screens shown above. For bulk changes, please contact support@choosetwine.com and we can help to reassign enrollment dates across students and classes if needed.
